Description
Grow your own chilli seeds with Mr Fothergill’s Habanero chilli seeds. The undisputed ‘King of all the Chillies’, this variety produces very hot, very large red fruits rated 300-500k on the Scoville heat scale. But they aren’t all heat and no flavour—Habaneros have a fruity, citrussy sweetness underneath all that fire. That’s why they’re used for chilli jams and chutneys as well as in spicy recipes. If you’re a fan of homemade hot sauce, that rich, complex flavour and fiery heat are just what you need. Chilli plants love warmth, so do well in Australian gardens, but grow well in containers indoors too, provided they have a sunny spot. For a spicy salsa or a fajita packed with homegrown ingredients, grow our Habanero chilli seeds with tomato seeds, onion seeds, and herb seeds. How to Sow Seeds

Method: Seed trays / Pots
Growing notes: Sow Habanero chilli seeds in seed trays, fertile, well-drained garden soil, or pots. Plant seeds 5mm (1/4in) deep, cover lightly with fine soil, and keep moist. Seedlings will typically emerge in 7-21 days.

Transplant chilli seedlings when they reach 7-10cm (3-4in) in height, spacing them 40cm (16in) apart. Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid overwatering. Feed them occasionally with a liquid fertiliser to support their growth. Harvest your chillies as needed, starting 12-14 weeks after sowing. Picking regularly will encourage the plant to grow more chillies throughout the growing season.
