What sort of wood do you sell?

We sell only seasoned Ironbark which is supplied to us from a reputable supplier. As a member of the Firewood Association of Australia, member no. 46 we ensure that the wood you are getting is quality.​

What is the moisture content of your wood?

For wood to burn well the moisture content needs to be less then 25%. Our wood is tested on site once the load arrives and is generally between then 10-15% making the wood burn much hotter and for longer, also making it easier to light.

What do you mean by "Seasoned"?

Firewood needs to be seasoned before it can be burnt to allow the wood to dry out and harden up. Freshly cut "Green" wood will not burn well and will create a lot of smoke. All of our wood has been seasoned for at least 7 years.

What days do you deliver?

We deliver 6 days a week from 7am (Monday - Saturday). When placing your order please note your preferred day and time via email once order is placed. Times are as follow: 7-9, 9-12, 12-4, Morning or Afternoon. We will do our best to accommodate your requests but can not always deliver to a specific time due to the large number of orders.​

Is there a delivery charge?

Yes, there is a delivery charge on all orders of firewood from our yard. We do however offer free pick up from our yard. Please select your suburb when placing your orders online. Click Here for delivery charges.

We offer a ute delivery only service for $25. Provided that your access can allow a standard sized ute in, we will be able to do this for you. Please request this service when ordering. If a ute delivery is required, but not requested there may be additional charges.​ Ute only deliveries are phone order only. No online ordering.

What size is your wood?

Logs are split and cut to a ready-to-use size of 250mm - 350mm, approximately the size of a loaf of bread some pieces slightly bigger or smaller.

We also offer double split firewood. This is the standard wood size split in half again. This is done here in our yard and available all year round. It is also called Pizza Split, Pizza Cut or Oven wood, as it is smaller, easier to light and good for pizza ovens, small fireplaces and cooking.

Do you have any wood other than Ironbark?

Ironbark we stock year round. However as the firewood season rolls on we do get other varieties of wood into the yard. Please call or email us to enquire what varieties of wood we have in stock when placing your order.

​​Can I pay for my order COD?

Cash on delivery is fine, however you will need to call us on (02) 9986 1223 to place your order as online orders require payment via credit card. COD orders are strictly cash before any goods are unloaded. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheques of any kind. Direct debit can be arranged. Please contact us for our details.
