How to Sow Seeds

Method: Sow White Lisbon spring onion seeds thinly, 6mm (¼in) deep, in rows spaced 10cm (6in) apart.
Thinning: No thinning is necessary, but keep the plants well-watered, especially during dry weather.
Growing notes: They can be sown directly in the ground or in a container in a sunny spot with fertile soil or compost. Harvest your spring onions from about eight weeks after sowing, when the tops are green and crisp. If you want a continuous supply for your kitchen, make successive sowings every 4-6 weeks.
