Common name – Giant bird of paradise, Wild Banana
Description – A tall, palm like variety of Strelitzia resembling a banana tree with an espalier, fan-like habit. Widely used in tropical landscape gardens however also commonly used as an indoor plant.

Location – Suitable for most soil types. Establishes best in part shade gardens but can climatize to full sun. An ideal plant for indoors in areas of great natural or filtered light.
Care – Maintain regular watering while establishing and during the hotter months of the year. Feed twice a year with a slow release or granular fertiliser.
