Enjoy the best gherkins you’ve ever tasted with our Cucumber Pickling Gherkin seeds. This traditional gherkin seed produces compact, crunchy fruits you can preserve or enjoy fresh. Its early maturing habit gives you an early harvest throughout the summer, and its climbing vines are easily manageable, making it great for garden beds or trellises. Known for its versatility in the kitchen, this cucumber seed variety is perfect for classic dill pickles, relish, or garnishing dishes. It's a must-have for any gardener looking to grow their own pickling ingredients. Pair your gherkins with garlic bulbs and onion seeds for the perfect homemade pickle brine. How to Sow Seeds

Method: Direct sow
Growing notes: Sow 12mm (1/2 in) deep, directly in their final position. Plant 2 or 3 gherkin seeds in clumps, then thin to the strongest seedling. Allow 40-50cm (16-20 in) between clumps. When young plants have 5 or 6 leaves, pinch out the growing tips to encourage the growth of side shoots. Keep the plants well-watered.

Seedlings should emerge in 6-10 days.
