Link Edge Original 3 m Aluminium Garden Edging
Link Edge Original is a flexible aluminium garden edging system designed to create clean straight lines, smooth curves and defined borders throughout gardens and landscaped areas. Available in 40, 50, 75 and 100 mm profiles, with each size supplied in a 3 m length.
Made from lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium, Link Edge is suitable for DIY and professional installation. It can be used to separate lawns, garden beds, paths, paving, mulch, pebbles and other landscape finishes.

Choosing a Profile Height
40 mm: Recommended for subtle, low-profile borders around lawns, synthetic turf, paving and similar finished surfaces.
50 mm: Recommended as a versatile general-purpose profile for lawns, garden beds, paths and paved areas.
75 mm: Recommended where a deeper edge or greater separation is useful, including garden beds, paths and landscaped areas.
100 mm: Recommended for taller borders and applications requiring greater separation or support between adjoining surfaces.
Select the profile according to the required visible height, adjoining materials and site conditions.
Installation Guide
- Clear the installation area, then compact and level the base.
- Lay the edging in its approximate position and form the required straight line or curve.
- Starting at the first hole, partially hammer spikes through the pre-punched base holes. Link Edge recommends approximately four spikes per 3 m length.
- Place additional spikes at pivotal points, particularly where bends or curves are formed.
- Join additional lengths with the matching fishplate connectors.
- Check the complete alignment. Remove and reposition spikes if adjustment is required.
- Once satisfied, hammer the spikes firmly into the ground and fill both sides with the chosen landscape surfaces.
For 75 and 100 mm profiles, spike guides are recommended where extra upright rigidity is required, particularly around heavier traffic or compacted areas.
Required Accessories
- Fishplate connectors: Use the matching 40–50 mm or 75–100 mm connector to join consecutive lengths.
- Edge spikes: Approximately four are recommended per 3 m length, with additional attention at bends and pivotal points.
- Spike guides: Recommended with 75 and 100 mm edging where added vertical stability is needed.
- Corner connectors: Use the matching size when creating reinforced right-angle joins.

Sustainability
