BERA Gravel Fix Pro XL is a professional gravel stabilisation system designed to create firm, attractive and permeable gravel surfaces. Its durable honeycomb structure holds loose gravel in place, helping prevent shifting, rutting and uneven surfaces while maintaining the natural appearance of decorative stone.
Ideal for driveways, pathways, parking areas and landscaped spaces, Gravel Fix Pro XL provides a stable surface for pedestrians, bicycles, wheelchairs and vehicles when correctly installed. The integrated DuPont™ Typar® geotextile membrane helps separate the gravel from the underlying base, reduces weed growth and allows water to drain through.
Each XL sheet covers 1.8m² and features a convenient book-fold design, making the large panels easier to transport, handle and install.

Installation Guide
Correct preparation of the underlying base is essential to achieve a durable and stable gravel surface.
- Excavate & Prepare: Remove existing soil or material to the required depth. The excavation and base requirements will depend on whether the area is intended for pedestrian or vehicle use.
- Install the Foundation: Prepare a suitable compacted, free-draining crushed stone base appropriate for the expected loading and ground conditions.
- Level the Surface: Apply and level a suitable bedding layer to create a smooth, even surface for the panels.
- Install Edge Restraints: Ensure the perimeter is securely restrained to prevent movement of the gravel and panels.
- Lay the Panels: Unfold the Gravel Fix Pro XL sheets and position them with the geotextile membrane facing down. Place sheets closely together and trim where required.
- Fill with Gravel: Fill the honeycomb cells with suitable angular gravel, generally 3–16mm in size, distributing it evenly across the surface.
- Finish the Surface: Ensure the cells are fully filled and maintain a thin covering of gravel above the panels to conceal the structure.
Important: Vehicle areas require a properly engineered and compacted foundation suitable for the anticipated loads. Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and assess drainage, slopes and site conditions before commencing.

BERA Gravel Fix Pro XL is designed for use with suitable decorative gravel or crushed stone, generally between 3mm and 16mm in size.

Can I use decorative pebbles instead of gravel?

The integrated geotextile helps suppress weeds growing from beneath the surface. However, airborne seeds can still germinate in debris that accumulates above the membrane.
Does Gravel Fix allow water to drain?
