Munstead lavender is a much-loved variety of flower seeds that is the preferred choice for cutting and drying. English Munstead lavender produces masses of fragrant blooms and is best grown where the scent can be enjoyed. These perfect butterfly- and bee-attracting flowers bring pollinators to the garden and offer an excellent, dense perennial hedge with a spread of up to 30cm when planted in rows. RHS English Munstead Lavender tolerates dry conditions once established and performs exceptionally well in poorer soils growing upward of 60cm.

How to Sow Seeds

Growing notes: You should sow the RHS English Munstead Lavender Seeds 5mm (1/4in) deep into well-drained soil. Firm gently and keep moist, as germination may take up to six weeks. Seedlings should appear in 20-40 days.

Thin seedlings as necessary to 30cm (12in) apart. Keep weed-free and moist until established.
