How to Sow Seeds

Spacing: 45-60cm
Growing notes: Stratifying seeds can improve germination. Place seeds on a damp paper towel and seal in a bag. Keep in the fridge for 3-4 weeks prior to sowing. Sow your English Dwarf lavender seeds thinly into a seedbed or trays of compost, just covering the small seeds. Keep the soil moist. Thin, prick out, or pot on as necessary, giving each plant room to develop. Harden off and transplant to their flowering position in the autumn, spacing them 45-60 cm apart. Mulch plants well for winter protection. Apply a complete fertiliser in spring and prune to shape after flowering. Flowering improves from second year.
