Make the most of a small garden and grow zucchini in pots with Midnight F1 Zucchini seeds. These compact plants produce high yields of glossy, tasty fruits—perfect if all you have is a patio, a small garden, or even just a windowsill.

Midnight F1 Zucchini has a deep, dark green colour and a mild and delicate flavour. Fresh in salads, it adds a refreshing bite, but grill it, and you bring out a rich and savoury taste that gives a depth of flavour to stir-fries and casseroles. Plus, it’s rich in vitamin C, making it healthy and tasty.

How to Sow Seeds

Method: Sow zucchini seeds directly into pots where they are to grow, 12mm (1/2in) deep in the soil.
Spacing: When planting in the garden, allow 80-120cm (31-47in) between rows to stop the plants from competing for water and nutrients.
Growing notes: Prepare the soil well beforehand by adding organic material like compost. Water thoroughly after planting and carry on until the plants are well established. Harvest regularly when the zucchinis reach 20cm (8in) in length to encourage the plant to keep growing more fruits. For more detailed instructions, read the full guide on how to grow zucchinis.
