How to Sow Seeds

Growing notes: Sow a few seeds every 40cm (16 in) in rows 12mm (1/2 in) deep and 30cm (1 in) apart. Thin out to one plant every 40cm (16”). Keep well watered.

The first harvest will be ready 8-12 weeks from sowing. Leave 4 or 5 centre stalks for quick regrowth.

Seedlings will start to emerge in 10-14 days.

When to Plant

General: Our Bright Light silverbeet seeds are excellent for growing year-round in most areas of Australia. In cooler climates, they are excellent spring vegetable seeds, but you should avoid growing them in winter.
In the warmer regions, avoid planting in summer as they will not thrive in the summer heat.
