How to Sow Seeds

Growing notes: Sow Baby Pak carrot seeds thinly at a depth of 6mm (1/4in) in rows spaced 30cm (12in) apart. Prepare the soil by removing stones and pebbles to give the roots room to grow. Lightly cover the seeds with fine soil and gently firm them down. Water thoroughly after sowing and keep the soil evenly moist as they germinate. Carrot seedlings emerge within 6-10 days.

Once they are large enough to handle, thin out the plants to 25mm (1in) apart to give the roots adequate space to develop. Water well after thinning to replace any soil dislodged from roots. Keep the bed free from weeds and maintain consistent moisture levels during the growing period. Harvest the carrots when they reach the desired size, typically 4-6 weeks after sowing.
