Description
RHS Foxglove Suttons Apricot is loved for its tall stems of softly hued apricot-pink flowers. Each bloom has an eye-catching tubular shape, and when planted in clusters, the spikes create a beautiful layered effect. These flower seeds are perfect for softening semi-shaded borders or adding gentle height to cottage garden displays. Their understated colour makes them easy to pair with other flowers, blending seamlessly into mixed plantings. The beautiful colour makes them perfect as cut flowers, and they take pride of place in flower arrangements. The variety is an RHS Award of Garden Merit winner for reliability and good performance, making them a practical choice, too. Add a finishing touch by planting them alongside Sweet Pea seeds for fragrance or other summer sowing flower seeds for bursts of complementary colour.

How to Sow Seeds

Growing notes: Sow RHS Suttons Apricot foxglove seeds indoors during early spring, around 6 weeks before the last expected frost. Place the seeds in trays with fine seed compost, and very lightly cover them with a thin layer of soil. Keep the trays in a warm, bright location, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. Your seedlings should emerge in 21-28 days.

Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 30cm (12in) apart to allow room for growth. Transplant the young plants outdoors after the last frost into well-drained, semi-shaded soil. They will benefit from an occasional feed of complete fertiliser throughout the growing season.
