The mix contains a blend of coir, peat and perlite, along with controlled-release fertiliser that provides nutrients for up to 6 months. It has also been formulated without composted bark, helping make the mix less prone to fungus gnats while providing the growing conditions indoor plants need.

How it Works:

The coir, peat and perlite blend provides a balance between moisture retention, drainage and air around the root zone. Perlite helps improve aeration and drainage, while the coir and peat blend assists with water circulation and healthy root development.

A complete controlled-release fertiliser distributes nutrients as plants need them for up to 6 months, supporting healthy growth and lush foliage.

How to Use:

Use when potting or repotting indoor plants into a suitable container. After potting, water the plant thoroughly to settle the mix around the roots.

Continue watering frequently enough to keep the potting mix moist but not wet. Avoid allowing plants to completely dry out between watering.

Ongoing Plant Care:

Searles Indoor Premium Potting Mix contains fertiliser to feed plants for up to 6 months. Additional fertiliser may be required after this period depending on the needs and growth of the plant.

Repot plants with fresh potting mix when they outgrow their container or approximately every 12–24 months.

Fungus Gnat Management:

This mix contains no composted bark, which can provide shelter for fungus gnats, making the formulation less prone to fungus gnats than mixes containing composted bark.

Important:

Indoor plant watering requirements vary considerably depending on the plant, pot size and growing conditions. Keep the mix moist but not wet and ensure containers can drain freely to avoid waterlogging.
