Triple-Active Herbicide Safe on Suitable Buffalo Lawns Broadleaf Weed Control Treats up to 500m²

Buffalo Master Selective Weedkiller is a concentrated post-emergent herbicide for controlling common broadleaf weeds in established turf. Its three active ingredients provide effective control of difficult lawn weeds including Bindii, White Clover, Capeweed, Plantain and Creeping Oxalis.

Suitable for Buffalo and a range of other established lawn varieties, Buffalo Master is applied directly to actively growing weeds using a pressure or backpack sprayer.

Benefits:
  • Controls a broad range of common lawn weeds
  • Suitable for use on compatible Buffalo lawns
  • Three active ingredients with complementary modes of action
  • Low-odour liquid concentrate
  • One 250mL bottle treats up to approximately 500m²
For Control Of:

White Clover, Plantain, Capeweed, Cat’s Ear, Bindii or Jo-Jo, Cudweed and Creeping Oxalis, plus other susceptible broadleaf weeds.

Suitable Lawn Types:

Suitable for established Buffalo, Couch, Kikuyu, Paspalum, Carpet Grass, Queensland Blue Couch, Fescue and Ryegrass lawns.

Some turf varieties can be more sensitive than others. Patch test sensitive Buffalo varieties, including ST85, before treating the entire lawn.

How it Works:

Buffalo Master combines three active ingredients that affect susceptible weeds in different ways. MCPA and clopyralid disrupt normal plant growth, while diflufenican interferes with pigment production and photosynthesis. This combination controls both the visible foliage and continuing growth of susceptible broadleaf weeds.

When to Apply:

Apply when the turf and target weeds are actively growing. Avoid mowing for 3–4 days before and after treatment so there is sufficient leaf area for herbicide uptake.

Do not apply during frost, when the lawn or weeds are under stress, when temperatures exceed 30°C or when rain is expected within four hours.

How to Use:

Shake the container thoroughly before use.

Measure the treatment area, mix the required amount with water and apply evenly using a pressure or backpack sprayer.

Maintain agitation while mixing and spraying. Avoid overlapping treated areas, as this can apply more than the recommended rate.

Do not water in after application. A non-ionic surfactant may assist when treating weeds that are difficult to wet.

Application Rate:

Pressure or backpack sprayer:
Mix 50mL in 2–5L of water per 100m².

Coverage:

The 250mL bottle treats up to approximately 500m².

Active Constituents:

300g/L MCPA present as the potassium salt

20g/L clopyralid present as the olamine salt

15g/L diflufenican

Important:
  • Group 4 and Group 12 herbicide
  • Temporary discolouration may occur on Kikuyu, Carpet Grass and Queensland Blue Couch
  • Do not use on Bent Grass or Winter Grass golf and bowling greens
  • Do not use treated lawn clippings as mulch or place them in compost
  • Do not graze treated turf or feed treated clippings to poultry or livestock
  • Keep people and pets off the treated area until the spray has dried
  • Avoid spraying garden plants and prevent spray drift onto desirable vegetation
