Botanical name – Pilea libanensis Silver Sprinkles
Common name – Silver Sprinkles or Pilea Glauco
Description – This beautiful indoor plant has small round green leaves with a silver sheen. It has trailing red stems which make it great for hanging baskets or for shelves. Its low maintenance nature makes it perfect for beginners.
Location – Suitable for bright indirect light indoors. Can be grown in shade outdoors in warm position. Direct sun will burn leaves.
Care – Use a premium well-draining potting mix with perlite. It has fleshy leaves which store water so allow to partially dry out before watering and do not leave sitting in water. Feed with a liquid fertiliser monthly during spring, summer and autumn.
