Botanical name – Pelargonium zonale ‘Big Pink’
Common name – Calliope Geranium
Description – A sprawling groundcover or low-lying shrub that has profuse flowering through-out most of the year. These large, brightly coloured double blooms flow beautifully over the side of a hanging basket or balcony planter. The large light green coloured foliage also makes a great addition to the plant.

Location – Grows best in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil
Care – Keep soil moist during the summer season. Water once soil is on the dry side during the cooler months. Fertilise twice a year using controlled release fertiliser and use a liquid fertiliser high in potassium during spring and summer to encourage more blooms. Monitor for pest and disease e.g Caterpillars and rust.
