Description
Crimson Globe beetroot is a simple and delicious vegetable to grow. This deep crimson heirloom seed variety is extremely popular for its rich, earthy flavour that adds depth to fresh salads, tastes incredible pickled, or can be served roasted. Growing these beets is as easy as planting them in a sunny spot with good soil. It does well in most well-prepared soils and even stores well in the freezer, so you can enjoy it long after you harvest it. Want more homegrown vegetables? How to Sow Seeds

Growing notes: Sow Crimson Globe beetroot seeds thinly, 12mm (1in) deep in rows about 30cm (12in) apart. For best results, keep the soil moist and avoid over-watering. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 10cm (4in) apart to give them room to grow. Don't cut the leaves, twist them off, as this will prevent bleeding.

Crimson Globe beetroot prefers a sunny spot and well-prepared soil, but it’s adaptable to various growing conditions. Feed and water regularly for best results. You can expect to harvest the beets when they’re 5cm (2in) or more prominent in diameter, typically around 10-12 weeks after sowing. Sow repeatedly throughout the growing season for a continuous harvest.
