Botanical name – Ceropegia woodii ‘Variegata’
Common name – Variegated Chain of Hearts, Variegated String of Hearts
Description – This highly sort after trailing succulent has small waxy green, cream and pink heart-shaped leaves. It can be grown up a trellis, wire frame or left to hang over a shelf. It also makes an excellent hanging basket specimen.
Flower Colour – Purple/pink
Flower Period – Most of the year once established
Location – Requires bright indirect light or an hour of morning sun.
Care – Water only when succulent potting mix has completely dried out. Reduce frequency of watering in winter. Use a slow-release fertiliser every six months. If the plant starts losing its colour or has longer gaps between leaves it is an indication that it needs a brighter location.
