Description – Clivia miniata 'Green' is a rare cultivar of the Clivia miniata species, which is native to South Africa. It is a clump-forming perennial that produces dark green, strap-like leaves that can grow up to 60cm in length. In spring, it produces clusters of trumpet-shaped, green flowers on tall stalks. Unlike other Clivia miniata cultivars, 'Green' does not produce orange or yellow flowers.

Location – Clivia miniata 'Green' prefers a well-drained soil and can be grown in partial shade, can tolerate direct morning sun. It is ideal for use in shaded borders, woodland gardens, and as a container plant.
Care – Clivia miniata 'Green' requires regular watering during the growing season, but can tolerate some drought once established. Fertilise with a slow-release fertiliser in spring and prune away spent flowers and yellowing leaves as needed. The plant can be susceptible to mealybugs and spider mites, so monitor regularly and treat with insecticidal soap if necessary.
