Black Grit – Organic Soil Conditioner & Controlled Release Fertiliser

Black Grit is a powerful fused calcium magnesium silicate phosphate soil amendment and fertiliser in one. Used globally for over a century, it’s ideal for rejuvenating low fertility acid soils. Black Grit helps raise soil pH, improves CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity), and provides key macronutrients—calcium, magnesium, silicon, and phosphorus—while also unlocking existing soil phosphorus. This controlled release, non-leaching fertiliser works with the natural soil chemistry to digest acidity and improve nutrient availability, making it an excellent alternative to lime. Made from naturally occurring minerals, not chemically treated, Black Grit starts acting within 24 hours of application (with moisture).
