Description
Botanical name – Sygonium podophyllum ‘Pixie’
Common name – Dwarf Arrowhead Plant
Description – This tough plant has small green variegated arrow-shaped leaves. Suitable for smaller pots as it is a compact variety. Arrow plants are low maintenance making them perfect for beginners.
Location – Suitable for bright indirect light indoors or outdoor shade as understorey planting for tropical style gardens.
Care – Water after top centimetre of potting mix has dried out. Reduce watering in winter. Feed with a liquid fertiliser monthly during spring, summer and autumn. Sap can be a skin irritant. Wash off leaves monthly. Can be weedy so do not plant into the ground near national parks.
