Location

Prefers full shade to part sun, particularly protected from harsh afternoon sun. Great in tropical-style gardens, around water features, or in large pots for balconies and patios.

Care

Low maintenance and easy to grow in moist, well-drained soil. Avoid allowing soil to fully dry out, especially during hot periods. Provide frost protection in cooler climates. Feed with a slow-release fertiliser in spring and mulch around the plant (keeping clear of stems) to help retain moisture. Watch for snails which may damage the large leaves.
