Description – Clivia miniata is a perennial herbaceous plant with deep green, strap-like leaves that can grow up to 60cm in length. The plant produces clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers on tall stalks that rise above the foliage
Flower Colour – The flowers come in shades of red, orange, and yellow
Flower Period – Clivia miniata typically blooms in late winter or early spring
Fruiting – Clivia miniata produces a fleshy, berry-like fruit that contains seeds
Location – Clivia miniata can be grown outdoors in shaded or partially shaded locations in subtropical and tropical regions
Care – Clivia miniata prefers well-draining, fertile, slightly acidic soil, and should be watered regularly during the growing season. It can be fertilised with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser, and should be repotted every two to three years. The plant can also be propagated by division of offsets
