Now with Radiata Pine seeds! Radiata Pine is one of the most commonly grown Christmas trees in Australia and New Zealand, reaching 2 metres in as little as three years. The seeds can be sown all year, but it is recommended that you sow your seeds in Spring or Autumn.

Tin made of galvanised steel with zinc coating.

How To Grow Growing Instructions (included with kit):

1. Stratify seed if necessary (see below)
2. Rehydrate the soil pellets in a bowl in twice their volume of water. Fluff up the soil and transfer it into the pot.
3. Sow a few seeds 5mm deep and cover with surrounding soil.
4. Place the pot onto a saucer and in a warm and light position.
. Water very sparingly until seedlings appear. Only water if the soil turns light brown and dry. Keep soil moist once seedlings appear.
. Thin out to 1 or 2 of the strongest seedlings. The excess seedlings can be transplanted into the garden or another pot.
. Transplant into the garden or a larger pot when the tree outgrows the tin pot supplied.
Cold stratification is recommended in climates with warm Winters. It is not critical in colder regions, but it can result in better germination rates. Cold stratification can be replicated by soaking the seeds overnight, then placing them in a container in the fridge for 28 days.

Important Note
The soil should not need watering again until seeds have germinated. However if water is required, use a water spray bottle to moisten the soil. You can tell if the soil is drying out if the colour turns from dark brown to light brown.
