Description
Botanical name – Pilea involucrata ‘Moon Valley’
Common name – Moon Valley Plant, Friendship Plant, Pilea mollis
Description – This new variety of indoor plant has vibrant green toothed leaves with deep grooves which matures to dark red.
Flower Colour – Small pink flowers – rarely seen
Flower Period – Spring
Location – Suitable for bright to moderate indirect light indoors. Direct sun will burn leaves. Prefers humidity.
Care – Use a premium well-draining potting mix with perlite. Allow top centimetre to dry out before watering and do not leave sitting in water. Feed with a liquid fertiliser monthly during spring, summer and autumn. Prune back by half in Spring to keep compact. Rotate pot regularly to stop stems growing towards the light.
